This program explores how to incorporate the history of your existing library building into your new designs without compromising the integrity of the building while also creating a design that is current and relevant in today’s library culture. Ultimately you extend the life of your buildings by activating these basic principles. Plus, there may be a ghost story or two along the way to keep things super interesting.
Presenter: Cortney Orme is a Commercial Interior Designer, specializing in
Libraries. She is also the creator of the Off the Shelf Library Design Academy online design program that teaches Library Professionals how to take back their creative control and save tons in design fees by designing their own Library through her extensive online course and live coaching program. When she isn’t in the studio, she’s spending time with her husband, two children and two Irish Setters in the beautiful foothills of the Northeast Georgia Mountains.
