Archives and Museum ServicesLILRC provides a number of
archives related services for members. Our Digitization and Archives
Coordinator will provide site visits to advise and consult with
institutions on increasing access to materials. We also will be running
a pilot program with a processing archivist in 2022 to provide
assistance to historical societies and museums to increase access to
their collections. We have a regional scan center that include
equipment which can be borrowed to digitize materials. There are also
currently three traveling exhibits that can be borrowed by members. |
Continuing EducationLILRC provides a number of different types of education programming including 6 conference events, ongoing workshops and video recordings of presentations. In addition to the Annual Conference on Libraries and the Future and the Annual Archives Conference, and Annual Membership Meeting, all linked below, there is the Herbert Biblo Academic Libraries Conference, the Hospital Library Services Program Annual Conference, and the Technical Services Open Forum. |
GrantsLILRC provides a number of grant opportunities to member institutions. Please note the application deadlines for each grant.

Other ServicesLILRC
offers the opportunity to get free legal through the Ask the Lawyer program. We also have a new program
to support an intern from an under represented population to learn more
about the library profession. Additionally, there are a variety of
google groups individuals can subscribe to and various member discounts.

Repository ServicesThese repository services allow you to add different kinds of digital assets to a database. Empire ADC is a discovery tool and repository for EAD encoded finding aids. ESIE is a repository of 360 degree images. New York Heritage is a repository of curated images from around the state. New York Historic Newspapers is a repository of digitized newspapers. Resource SharingLILRC
has a variety of resource sharing services. The CCDA program provides
grant funds to academic institutions to coordinate collection
development. ELD is a statewide delivery service. We also provide
support and will fill document delivery requests on medical research.
The research loan program supports access to academic libraries by
researchers who are not part of individual academic institutions.
