This program will introduce school and public librarians to STEM and STEAM resources from NASA that are good for use in library settings, including:
Presenter Lyle Tavernier is an Educational Technology Specialist at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory who specializes in integrating technology into STEM instruction, developing K12 STEM lessons, and providing STEM education through distance learning technologies. Prior to his work at NASA, he was a classroom teacher, instructional technology coach, and new teacher mentor. Lyle earned a Bachelor of Science in Educational Studies and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership, both from the University of Oregon, and a Master of Science in Geosciences from Mississippi State University. SCHOOL LIBRARIANS: K-12 Eligible for CTLE credit though WSBOCES registration
ALL OTHERS: Register through LILRC.
