Effective Communication Strategies: Understanding & Responding to Dementia Related Behaviors in the Library

This program will offer guidance on how to best serve patrons with Alzheimer’s and other dementias. Presenter Zuleika Ramirez, MPH, Outreach/Community Educator, Alzheimer's Association, Long Island Chapter, will present on strategies  for communications and connections through talking, listening, attitude, tone, body language, decoding behavioral messages, and identifying common triggers.  

A certificate for 2 Professional Development Hours (.2 CEUs) will be emailed after the workshop
