Archives and Museum Services

LILRC provides a number of archival related services for members.  Our Digitization and Archives Coordinator will provide site visits to advise and consult with institutions on increasing access to materials. As an extension of these services, we provide access to a project archivist with the Accessing Archives Program. We also provide support for digitization through our Regional Scan Center and Digitization services.   There are also currently three traveling exhibits that can be borrowed by members.

Grants

LILRC provides a number of grant opportunities to member institutions.  Please note the application deadlines for each grant.

Other Services

LILRC offers the opportunity to get free legal through the Ask the Lawyer program.  We also have a new program to support an intern from an under represented population to learn more about the library profession.  Additionally, there are a variety of google groups individuals can subscribe to and various member discounts.

Repository Services

These repository services allow you to add different kinds of digital assets to a database.   Empire ADC is a discovery tool and repository for EAD encoded finding aids.  ESIE is a repository of 360 degree images.   New York Heritage Digital Collections is a repository of curated images from around the state.  New York State Historic Newspapers is a repository of digitized newspapers.

For information on these services contact Tim Spindler (tspindler@lilrc.org).
