Digitization Grants (requires login)This grant is available to member libraries to digitize materials in their collection. Priority is given to cooperative projects that document Long Island history. Digitization Service (requires login)LILRC digitizes materials for our members to help improve access and outreach. Documentary Heritage and Preservation of New York (DHPSNY) Documentary Heritage and Preservation Services for New York (DHPSNY) is a statewide program that provides free planning and education services to support the vast network of collecting institutions such as archives, libraries, historical societies, museums,
and other organizations that safeguard and ensure access to New York's historical records and library research materials. Empire Archival DiscoveryThe Empire Archival Discovery Cooperative (Empire ADC) is a system for information about archival collections held in cultural heritage organizations across New York State. At Empire ADC patrons can search and browse collection descriptions (called “finding
aids”) to discover what historical materials are available for research and where to find them. New York HeritageDigital asset management system where member libraries can make accessible their historic digitized materials that includes photos, documents and other materials. NYS Historic NewspapersThe NYS Historic Newspapers project provides free online access to a wide range of newspapers chosen to reflect New York's unique history. Traveling ExhibitsLILRC member institutions can borrow one of our traveling exhibits for up to a month. |
