The Government Resources and Records Management Committee (formerly the Committee on Government Information) is a standing committee of the Long Island Library Resources Council (LILRC). Its purpose is to provide a forum for information professionals of Nassau and Suffolk Counties to:

  • Monitor public policy trends and legislative developments in the area of government resources.
  • Promote responsible records and information management practices, and encourage discussions and training in records management technologies.
  • Provide educational opportunities to the Long Island community regarding U.S. government information generated by the state, counties, towns, villages, cities, and special districts.
