Everyone enjoys a story, including our political leaders. We will help you develop compelling narratives that highlight your library’s value to government stakeholders. This workshop will teach you how to craft persuasive messages and deliver them with impact. It is an opportunity to let your patrons tell your story.

Presented by:

The current Government Relations Specialist for a public library system, Jen Park jumped into advocacy and grassroots organizing when the school curriculum in her town suddenly hindered K-8 students from checking books out of the school libraries. A librarian prior to working in government relations, Jen has experience in public, academic, and special libraries with experience publishing and presenting on regional and national platforms. Jen has strong experience creating strategic advocacy plans, grassroots organizing, running successful referendum campaigns, and creating/strengthening relationships with elected officials.
