This program will focus on factors that inadvertently hinder access to library resources and services. Topics include physical and digital accessibility, cultural, economic, geographical, and language barriers and social stigma. We will also look at the technical and educational barriers as well. We will discuss strategies for raising awareness through targeted outreach efforts, community partnerships and culturally responsive programming. By addressing these unintentional barriers, libraries can identify areas for improvement and implement more inclusive practices to better serve their communities.
