Dave Morrison will give advice on the various resources that are available to librarians and individuals who desire to research the history of the oldest railroad in the country that still operates under its original name. He will discuss the libraries, historical societies, museums and websites that have a wealth of LIRR history. He'll talk about what is available in his own archives and the Oyster Bay Railroad Museum program that is available to libraries.
Dave Morrison is a retired LIRR branch line manager and railroad historian. He has been researching LIRR history for over 50 years and he is the author of 11 LIRR books published in Arcadia Publishing's Images of Rail series. He is on the Board of Directors of the Oyster Bay Railroad Museum and the Hicksville Historical Society. Code of Conduct
