Cultural institutions seek to find the balance between public access and securing valuable objects and archives. This program will address the internal and external security threats faced by public and private collections. Topics include risk assessment, security systems, and effectively responding to incidents such as theft or vandalism. The program also emphasizes the importance of collaboration between security professionals and cultural institutions. This is a continuation of the series explaining the steps of archival management. This introduction is appropriate for those new to working as an archivist or are responsible for the safety of an archival repository or collection. Presented by: Nicole Menchise, LILRC Digitization and Archives Coordinator Code of Conduct
