Bridging the Long Island Library Community
The 27th Annual Long Island Archives Conference is being held in person at The Esquire at The Nassau County Bar Association, a private event venue in Mineola. A continental breakfast and hot buffet lunch will be provided.
This year's topic is Crime and Punishment and will feature speakers from across Long Island. Speakers include Amy Folk, who will take us on a ride discussing her new book, Rumrunning in Suffolk County: Tales from Liquor Island; Regina Feeney will share with us the challenges of hunting down the truth in archival records; and film historian Greg Blank will regale us with Long Island: Crime and Culture Portrayed in Film. Other speakers will be announced when confirmed.
