Bridging the Long Island Library Community
Volunteers for Wildlife is celebrating 40 years dedicated to the preservation of Long Island's wildlife and wild places through education and rehabilitation. All of their education programs feature their resident non-releasable wildlife or "Animal Ambassadors" that they take to schools, libraries, community centers, scouts programs, etc., to educate and inspire.
Through grant funding, Volunteers for Wildlife will offer their children's programs at no cost to Long Island libraries in underserved communities. Participants will learn how to request their libraries receive the grant-funded programming.
