Young People are immersed in so much these days, especially questioning issues around justice, judgement, fairness, and connection. Amidst today's challenging times, adults have the opportunity to help build capacity and lead young people to become the true catalysts of their own futures. The question remains how to effectively engage with young people, so they recognize their potential as leaders. Anastasia will share how she successfully collaborated with students on her award-winning book, Leadership Through the Eyes of Children and expand their understanding of what leadership looks like in contemporary times.
Together, we will:
- Launch a collective cycle of inquiry around leadership
- Plan how to promote engagements by cultivating relationships
- Use courageous conversations for meaningful connection with teens
- Discover how libraries can provide safer spaces to give all students a voice
- Turn self-awareness into action, upward, inward, and outward to develop leadership skills
