Astrobiology: The Graphic Histories, with Creator Dr. Aaron Gronstal

Join LILRC for a behind the scenes look at the creation of NASA’s Astrobiology graphic novel series. Our guest will be the author and illustrator of the series, Aaron Gronstal, Communications Specialist at NASA Astrobiology Program, who will speak on how he uses comics to communicate science with the public.

Aaron Gronstal earned his doctorate in Geomicrobiology and Astrobiology at the Planetary and Space Science Research Institute (Open University, UK) and developed both scientific and artistic skills at the University of Iowa, UC Berkeley and the University of Melbourne. Dr. Gronstal currently works at NASA in the Astrobiology Program.

If you do not already have a zoom account you will be prompted to do so upon logging into the meeting.  If this is the first time you are using Zoom, after you have created an account, you can join the meeting by entering the Meeting ID/ Password provided to you in the confirmation email.  You can access all subsequent Zoom meetings by clicking the meeting link in the confirmation email.
