Youth substance use is changing and evolving, and is heavily influenced by what young people are viewing on social media. This training will provide: an overview of current substance use trends, insight into popular social media accounts that highlight dangerous substance use, images of apparel and accessories associated with substances and substance use, and resources to effectively address substance use with youth. Key Takeaways Library staff will: 1. Receive an overview of the current drug trends, specifically related to youth/ young adults. 2. Learn about apparel and accessories that are popular in youth drug culture and/ or are used to hide illicit substances or paraphernalia. 3. Learn about the common warning signs of youth drug use. 4.
