Dr. Roxanne Zimmer, Community Horticulture Specialist at Cornell Cooperative Extension, Suffolk County, returns for an all new program! Join LILRC for an exciting presentation of new and interesting programs for your patrons. 

About Dr. Roxanne Zimmer:

As a college professor, Dr. Zimmer addressed environmental questions around food and water issues in her undergraduate and graduate courses at Stony Brook University and the College of New Rochelle. She has been an invited speaker addressing a variety of gardening topics at libraries and community organizations in Nassau and Suffolk Counties. Dr. Zimmer was recently the keynote speaker for Cornell’s Spring Gardening School with her talk on “The High Line: Lessons for Long Island Gardeners.” She  has also worked with thirty school districts on the East End of Long Island bringing school gardens to life in the curriculum and the cafeteria.

A certificate for 1.5 Professional Development Hours (.15 CEUs) will be emailed after the event
