Library facilities management is a big topic including facilities planning and evaluation, security and safety, lighting, climate control, parking and accessibility, maintenance and repairs, etc.

In today’s climate, all public institutions, including all libraries, face a growing and imminent concern relating to safety.  When planning for future renovations, current operations, and services, library staff must evaluate, incorporate, and plan, with staff and public safety in mind.  In this workshop, we will focus on topics covering basic security, building operational techniques and facilities planning.

Presenter: Thomas A. Tarantowicz, Director of Brentwood Public Library

A certificate for 2 Professional Development Hours (.2 CEU's) will be emailed after the workshop.
