We had two sessions of hands on workshop to teach librarians on how to run a Bloxels program in their own libraries at the Port Washington Public Library on August 22, 2018.  Thanks Technology Librarians, James Hutter and Melanie Davidoff, for co-presenting the workshops and the Head of Children's Services, Rachel Fox, for giving the attendees a tour of the newly renovated Children's Library.  Many thanks!

Bloxels is a way for children and teens to create their own video games that leverages a hands-on platform that requires no coding experience. Creators get to design their own character, build their own worlds, and tell the stories they imagine! After the game is created, the creators can share their games with their friends to get feedback or just to let them enjoy playing what they made. In this hands on program you will learn what Bloxels are, what products you need to run a program, and have an opportunity to create a Bloxel character with a partner.  To learn more about Bloxels, please visit https://edu.bloxelsbuilder.com/.
