Part-Time Computer Technician Copiague Memorial Public Library
The Copiague Memorial Public Library is seeking a part-time (12-15 hours per week) Computer Technician.
The Library’s Systems staff is responsible for the purchase, installation, and maintenance of the Library’s software and hardware systems. The Library maintains public access and staff workstations and
operates a variety of network systems. The ideal candidate should be eager to learn and able to work with both Library patrons and staff.
Salary is $25.31 per hour. This position requires nights and weekends. Bilingual preferred.
Candidates must be eligible for the position under Civil Service Guidelines: Candidates must have graduated from high school or possess a high school equivalency diploma and have one year of technical computer experience with includes monitoring, maintaining or repairing computer systems and/or experience in the modification of such systems.
(Note: Education in a related field including Computer Science or instruction in the maintenance, repair or modification of computer systems attained at an accredited college or university or from a non-degree-granting computer training institution will be substituted for up to six months of experience.)
