The Center Moriches Free Public Library is seeking an enthusiastic, friendly, and public- service oriented individual to work across both the Young Adult and Adult departments.
Hours will include Saturdays, possible rotating Sundays and possibly a closing shift during the week. This position is for 20 hours a week and includes paid vacation, sick, holiday and personal time.
Duties will be:
- Provide reference, research and reader’s advisory services in both the Adult and Young Adult departments
- Develop and implement programming for the YA department
- Assist patrons in the use of library resources and technology
- Candidates must have an MLS/MLIS degree or be currently enrolled in an ALA-accredited library school, and be certified / enrolled in a program as a Children’s Librarian in order to work in the Young Adult Department.
