The Robert Moses Collection Project (RMCP) is seeking a Graduate Fellow for the Fall 2021 semester. The position will be located at the Long Island State Parks Regional Archives Facility within Planting Fields Arboretum State Historic Park in Oyster Bay. COVID-19 Safety Protocols based on CDC guidelines for workplaces are being carefully followed on-site.
The Graduate Fellow will receive 6 credits of tuition remission, which must be used for the Fall 2021 semester. Interns must spend 120 hours working as part of the project team.
The RMCP is a multi-year undertaking funded by the Robert David Lion Gardiner Foundation to identify, arrange, describe, and digitize records related to the Long Island Region of New York State Parks during the Robert Moses era.
· Assist with digitizing collection materials to enable pubic access and become familiarized with policies, procedures, and best practices related to digitization.
· Create metadata for digitized images of collection materials using the New York State Archives metadata import template.
