Please join us on Thursday, October 7, 2010 for the l5th Annual Archives Month Conference. This l5th Anniversary Conference will be held at Oheka Castle, the once magnificent home of financier and philanthropist Otto Hermann Kahn. The castle which turned into a ruin due to years of neglect, has been returned to its former splendor by developer, Gary Melius.

The Conference Title is: 'Long Island Entertainers and Their Legacies'.

Long Island has been the home of many famous entertainers from vaudeville times through the present. The conference will focus on these Long Islanders who have not only entertained us, but whose philanthropic activities have helped those in need.

Guest speakers include:

• Michael Cogswell, Director of the Louis Armstrong House Museum
• Geri Solomon, Assistant Dean of Special Collections, Hofstra University, Joan & Donald E. Axinn Library
• A representative of the Long Island Music Hall of Fame
